Project Tutorial Proposal - ThousandthStar
- Making a snake clone with Pygame. - Intermediate
- Making a discord bot that can speak in voice channels - Intermediate
- Make a small website with Django - Advanced
Note: for the discord bot that can speak in voice channels, this could be difficult because the library I would use (pyttsx3) uses the system voice which works differently on some OSs. I would have to find another library.
Hi @ThousandthStar! Woohoo! So glad you came. We love:
- 1 "Build a Snake Game with Pygame" and
- 3 "Build a Website with Django"
Second one is great too, but we just released a Discord Bot project last month. Very different than your idea but still, trying to diversify right now.
One more thing before we get started. Can you let us know more about yourself: what's your name, where do you live, how long have you been coding, and maybe a one-liner about what you do? Just want to make sure we are good to go and we can post about you after the project drops.
If you don't feel comfortable sharing that here in this Isssue, totally understand, you can also email us at [email protected] with the above info! Looking forward to getting this started. 🙏
I sent an email with the above information. @sonnynomnom
Hi @ThousandthStar, the program is super interesting 🎉
Just a few changes:
- Please follow the formatting guidelines.
- Python indentations are two spaces
- Are the collisions still a bit buggy? If yes, please make them less buggy
- Instead of having a running=True, maybe have a
setup()function and agame_loop()function to make the code more readable
Once you complete these changes, you can start writing your project tutorial! Please use the template provided by Codédex here for your tutorial!
