UI not showing my gopass entries

I have installed gopass-ui_0.8.0_amd64.deb on ubuntu and when I start the application, I don't see any of my gopass entries. The screen stays blank. The same with the Gopass.UI-0.8.0.AppImage,

Gopass from the commandline is working fine.

Am I missing something in the setup?
