Possible memory use issues

As reported on the support forum:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261900 bytes) in /home/content/20/9616820/html/wp-content/plugins/post-by-email/include/Horde/Imap/Client/Socket/Pop3.php on line 1088

Might also be the issue behind: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-many-emails-can-i-send-per-time

I need to do more testing with many emails in the inbox and/or very large attachments. Possibly need to be more clever about chunking the processing of emails and/or releasing memory.
