Randomly Changes Speed to 1.03

Open legendariersgaming opened this issue 7 years ago • 5 comments

For some reason, without any input, the playback speed automatically sets itself to 1.03. I have no clue why and I always reset it back to 1.00 but I find that when I switch to a new video or stream the playback speed goes back to 1.03.

The same happens to me, and it's really annoying when I'm watching a livestream on Twitch and it starts lagging, cause the play speed is faster than the live

Same thing just started happening this week. I've been using the extension for months without issues. I even blacklisted Twitch, yet it still happens, and it happens at random. It can happen right when I open a stream, or can happen after I've been watching for hours. Using Firefox.

This is normal Twitch funcionality, if you are behind on the stream the player will subtly speed up to catch up with the live feed. I think you can disable it with the FrankerFaceZ extension.

I can't find it in the settings in FFZ.

Would be nice if Videospeed had a solution for it as it hasn't been an issue for a long time. So something changed.

Huh, I could've sworn it had something for that setting. Anyway, you can always click the reset player button (if you have it enabled) and it'll catch right up at normal speed. Or speed up the stream itself until it's caught up.
