error getting data when local site has self-signed cert

I've got a self-signed cert on my local machine. When I try to "Fetch remote data" I get the following error:

https://api.codeable.io/users/login SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate 60

Any way you can provide a hook that would allow plugins to set additioanl curl_opts (e.g., CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER in this case)?
