[Feature request] Add option to adjust delay when enabling video playback on hover
⚬ PROBLEM: Video playback on hover is almost instant and can be a bit too distracting. Therefore, turning the option off seems to be the sensible solution but some users may want to have a delayed video playback on hover so they get best of both worlds.
⚬ SOLUTION: To allow user to customize a delay in milliseconds (or seconds) to achieve a preferred time for video playback on hover to trigger.
⚬ ALTERNATIVES: None
⚬ RELEVANCE / SCOPE: Those who find the issue frustrating certainly will. This is a QoL request.
⚬ "SIDE EFFECTS": None. Just adds more customizability
⚬ CONTEXT: None
Thank you!
hi and thanks! @n3thshan Yes, easy. And in theory most (not all) of our users, who have it disabled could be happy if we gently convert that to a long delay like 20s.

So at least this could be displayed nested / combined* in our options for efficiency.
Disable video playback on hoverHover-Playback :delay by [__] secondsor :disable ☒☑︎🖲️
(And once disabled, the input could even be visually replace by a ∞) -
You might also enjoy https://github.com/extesy/hoverzoom? When hovering over a media thumbnail or link patiently enough for it to load, why not see it in full size? (This extension is under a free MIT license, so that one could build on top of it or include the whole extension in our's, etc.)
...* pondered before that many basic features could be accessed, programmed, combined in different ways.
while extra exceptions/conditions like video genre could be set for many features on right click. and shortcuts or buttons to toggle any experiment flag or anything could be setup with right click too.
(Yet will that be "difficult" for non-developers? compare https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/youtube-refined/bhbammekghlcjhbiekoldhpfgelblcni Manifest2 extension are still supported by older browsers )

also have been pondering about better menu-structure before in 3 lists (playback features could help globally on other sites like facebook or netflix) which will bring the questions if everybody would (not) like certain features running on youtube now to run elsewhere too)
Long-term structure/vision for our UI:

my content & discovery logic -
my setup:
a) generalVideo Features(+specific tweaking, likeYoutube's Experiment Flagsadded/enabled by the user). b)Cleaning/Trashbin(Up to 100s of CSS rules, JS variables, uBlock rules. (including disabled Youtube's Experiment Flags) (Ideally/hopefully set&forget) c)Minimap/Layout(more sections, maybe Drag&drop for Sizes, Positions & css selector and paint bucket tools for colors?)
