🐞Total video length not showing on side of remaining time duration

Open Saxombie opened this issue 7 months ago • 14 comments

Concise Description

Now showing remaining time got fixed OK.. but new "bug"(?) introduced: total video time its not showing now. Before all this happened we could see both, as it should: on the left side the total length and on the right side the remaining time, i.e. like this: 7:30 / (-3:54)

Now only shows the remaining time... so thats a problem because we can't know whats the total video length while its running off..

Something like that, right? Image

I've made a small mistake in this code, it should be easy to fix. I just need to test with and without this option selected because YouTube is a bit annoying with some elements on the screen.

@Saxombie, I created a PR for this, and it should be fixed in the next release. Thanks for reporting.

Hello, thanks for your contribution @wbalbo!

Is this the expected design? Image

Now it's missing the current time of the video, I expected this format "Current / Length (Remaining)" just as it was before I think?

Nah, before it was only two options i think: normal passing time or remaining time.

But if its added altogether then i'm ok with that. 😊

The format for enabling "Show Video Remaining Duration" used to be:

0:05 / 10:00 (-9:55)

not:

0:05 / (-9:55)

as it is right now...

Easy to fix, let me create a PR.

Hi, I still see the time like the users above said, the format still only shows total time and time remaining, not the elapsed time like before. Any fixes? Thanks!

Hmm, strange, should be updated for you. Are you using the latest version of the extension? Also, which browser do you use?

My example in Chrome right now

You can get the latest version (4.1280) here at the bottom: https://github.com/code-charity/youtube/releases/tag/v4.1280

Then it's just a matter of uploading into your //extensions url and testing locally, should work, but let us know if not.
