What's the desired behaviour?
Previously we were able to set a custom color for the progress bar. I'm guessing that's what they are referring to, because the same thing happened to me, with the only difference that my whole progress bar became red again (previously it was all purple).
I have the same issue. I foresee increased demand for this feature because Google made progress bars default to a red-pink gradient. Personally, I don't like it.

Yeah I also despise the weird pink transition they put in to the progress bar with like always no way to turn it off. Just a setting to disable the color transition thing would be great.
I am running firefox verison 131.0.3 (64bit) and am not currently reproducing the bug.

So the issue is this change has been an extremely slow roll out from youtube, starting roughly 4 months ago so not everyone has it on their youtube (can search up youtube progress bar pink to find articles about it from months ago) once the change goes through it seems it overrides progress bar color.

@IamOSource @TheCorruptedEngineer @sikehish @CJThornburg @jivcheg @ccrowles @IonDrako @Guildes So in this case the CSS needs to change from background-color to background (thanks @THite06 & @IamOSource!) And i just set to keep both as a principle of backwards compatibility.
( while generally youtube's experiment flags might also help with youtube's changes https://github.com/code-charity/youtube/issues/2567#issuecomment-2364113046 )
