Title in the same language as the video or icon that indicates the language
⚬ PROBLEM: I select a video with the title in Spanish but when I watch the video it is in English and I feel cheated.
⚬ SOLUTION:
The title should appear in English if speaking in English.
⚬ ALTERNATIVES: Alternatively, an icon should appear indicating that it is in English.
⚬ RELEVANCE / SCOPE: The problem may be affecting millions of people who do not speak English or have difficulty understanding it.
⚬ "SIDE EFFECTS":
I don't see any harmful side effects.
⚬ CONTEXT:
Thank you!

hi & thanks! @TigreAzul100 @m0chimxchi
Spam basically? (without even proper Spanish subtitles?)
filter spam:
-
videos, where the title doesn't match the spoken language- sub-option:
except if there are manually added subtitles - sub-option:
except category:music, comedy, education,... ? (could be art / false positives)- so this is difficult. So alternatively it can be:
-
video, with title $primary_language, but spoken in English- should this feature even be enabled by default - if only the primary language is spanish and the place is latin American? (or which languages, countries & demographies exactly?
- we can also check if English is enabled as a secondary language here: chrome://settings/languages (is it in your browser? @TigreAzul100 )
- should this feature even be enabled by default - if only the primary language is spanish and the place is latin American? (or which languages, countries & demographies exactly?
-
- so this is difficult. So alternatively it can be:
- sub-option:
compare:

or we can add a custom rule builder (like YR?, free license )
2. (some) popular channels are hiring translators / voice overs, example:
| channel | subscribers | videos | views | Joined |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| https://www.youtube.com/@veritasium | 15.5M | 398 | 2,625,230,938 | Jul 21, 2010 |
| https://www.youtube.com/@VeritasiumES | 2.17M | 183 | 309,182,480 | Jul 18, 2015 |
So question: For each such translated video-pair, if somebody speaking Spanish primarily or only (according to their browser) AND they happen to watch a video that is translated (voice over), should we place a big link to the other video?
