[BUG] Player resize issue that affects the controls and the video itself. [found in both latest experiment and stable versions]

Open tympapost opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Bug Report:

BUG:
Please check the video I included as an example further down. When you set the setting "Player Size" to "No Change" and you don't limit the page width, video is cropped and not displayed correctly. Furthermore, player controls appear shrunk and subtitles are displayed smaller due to the player being smaller too.

HOW: Use the link below to open the example, then use my settings and see the difference between normal viewing and Fullscreen viewing.

EXPECTED (/preferred) behavior: Video should be resized respecting the original aspect ratio of the video. Player controls should span the whole width of the video. Fixing the above should fix the size of the subtitles, as the resizing depends on the player's controls size. ⚬ Screenshots:

Setup:

⚬ ImprovedTube Version: tested with both 3.1001 and 3.943 ⚬ Browser: Chrome Version 103.0.5060.134 (Official Build) (64-bit) ⚬ Settings: improvedtube.json.txt ⚬ OS: Win 11 beta channel ⚬ Device: Desktop PC

Same problem here.

Annoying part is the end screen who don't fit properly now.

Compared to full screen size:

Edit: I've managed to temporaly fix the bug by zooming the youtube page at 110% for me. I guess maybe it's something wrong with the player size itself ?

hi guys! @tympapost @HerIsDia @dodieboy @mrangjunboon2017s

not sure it actually was fixed, so i did this for now #1602. (and a separate feature for page margin / sidebar, preventing player area to grow beyond what youtube likes natively - 1280x720 )
