[ Feature Request ] suggested shortcuts (& better structure)

PROBLEM

I came from Enhancer for YouTube™ extension and I can't find the option to adjust volume on YouTube using the Mouse Scroll-Wheel Button. It's just much easier to adjust the volume if you hover your mouse to the video and scroll up/down via the scroll-wheel

SOLUTION

Add an option for user to enable to adjust video volume by hovering their mouse on the video and scrolling up and down using the mouse scroll-wheel

ALTERNATIVES

Using the keyboard up and down button or directly on the volume control button.

Oh, I can configure the shortcut! Neat. I was able to configure it.

Though, an easy option to toggle to be able to switch between keyboard and mouse scroll-wheel would be nice for first time users or switchers from Enhancer for YouTube.

Hi @8227846265 ! Thanks for posting, a. yes we can try to add 'optimal' defaults above (or below) our custom shortkey creation with their own checkbox/switch. And allow multiple ones. (And maybe even enable great ones by default if it won't bother anybody (many people won't use any yet)) - its meaningful (We do have to keep our menus easy, short & prioritozed: #748 We just hope for contributors there, so we could focus on puzzeling with difficult/unique new features)

b. How do you feel about player buttons, coming from Youtube enhnacer? #1445 (+ this extension splits the youtube player into 3x3 customizable hover zones... Webstore/Tweaks4Youtube)

• Yes, selectable presets would be nice :)

2. How do you feel about player buttons, coming from Enhancer for YouTube?

• The default button option from Improve YouTube is more simplified, which I like better since I only use the PiP and Loop button mostly. Though other user might prefer more buttons so an option to allow them to add / decrease buttons between the player is a good option.

3. In the future, we can set volume and control player based on content category and custom rules

• Content category might be hard to control since volume difference is highly dependent on the source video. A custom rule by YouTube Channel that set the default Volume Level when playing their video but still adjustable upon playback and only resets to default if the video tab is reloaded is a good option

Yes. Volume by channel 👍 Thanks for thinking. 3. Yes the most prominent example for Volume or Speed by category yet is excluding music from speed changes, which will help most oft the time. While it is less clear for volume, besides entertainment/vlogs/gaming/influencers tend to have unnecessary effects/shouting so maybe a little less volume for them... Also alternatively/next to blocking ads/skipping sponsors/intros/outros, their volume could be capped
