That is quite strange. I believe `yarn` ignores versions so maybe it is installing a different version of spdlog that works?

Except maybe not if `yarn global add` also fails. Strange that it tells you to use `yarn`, too. It does that when you build from source but it should not...

Ah yeah the Artifactory requirement might force you to use this repo, although like you mentioned we lack stuff like binaries, and no extension signing yet which might cause issues...

I do not think we can specifically point to the VS Code marketplace for legal reasons. But, it would be cool to implement a generic fallback so you can specify...

I agree but I think at the moment it is unlikely we move any logic to the API unless someone writes up an RFC for it and champions the change....

Maybe if the cli had a json output format this would be less painful.
