Another fix is to use the subdomain proxy instead of the path-based one.

code-server is just a wrapper around the tech Codespaces uses so it does seem surprising that the issue does not reproduce there. We have a few patches, of course, but...

I think maybe doing this with an extension would make sense. Could throw it in the builtin extensions directory. At least, I think extensions can add menu items?

Maybe we could use the same theme VS Code is using? That could be cool.

We don't have this on the `3.9.4` milestone; I think it's unlikely we'll get to it soon.
