[bug] participant's submissions fail with error 500
Description of the problem
Attested on a live competition on the production LISP UP Saclay server.
One of our participants is not able to submit through the platform: every submissions lead to a generic error message (500 internal server error).
Apparently the problem persists after changing browsers, changing computers and creating another account: early submissions seem to work as intended, but past three or so submissions they run into this 500.
Last known instance of the case was somewhere between 16h42 and 16h48 EET today (jan 23rd).
I asked them if they could get a console log of the error, which leads to the following (uninformative) message:
We organizers are not able to reproduce on our side; I'll update this thread if we do manage to.
EDIT: seems to be due to the use of backslash and/or slash characters in any of the submission fields. To be confirmed.
If you are an organizer and have problem hosting your competition:
- If possible, please add
pavaoas admin to your competition so they may access it. -> added in case it helps - Please post a link to your competition. -> https://codalab.lisn.upsaclay.fr/competitions/15726
If you are having trouble using the site:
- What browser and version are you using? Bug reported with chrome v120, windows 10
- What is the URL of the problem? error reported on a competition hosted at https://codalab.lisn.upsaclay.fr/ (15726, SHROOM competition)
Second user reporting the same issue. In this case, this was due to backslash characters in the team name injected by the codalab interface.
