Is there any plan to adopt this etc1 alpha support pr from cocos2dx
https://github.com/cocos2d/cocos2d-x/pull/16118 Just asking, if u can add this support to cocos2d-x-lite, we won't have to adopt shader manualy which would be a great help. Or is there any reason that cocos creator won't use this method. If none, maybe I can do it myself. Thanks in advance!
There is no special reasons, it's just we don't have enough resources to do it yet.
