Memory issue with fresh installation

Open lucasff opened this issue 4 years ago • 3 comments

Cockpit version: (239-1~bpo10+1) OS: Debian 10.10 (Proxmox VE 6.4-13) Kernel: 5.4.128-1-pve

After installing cockpit via apt, just after login everything in the webpage is frozen and I can see that the process cockpit-bridge keeps eating RAM until it reaches around 2G. Nothing happens, i.e. the application is unusable.

Hello @lucasff,

I'm facing the same issue, were you able to fix it?

I haven't unfortunately. But didn't try anything, since I have no idea about the innards of cockpit.

To all: Which browser(s) and operating system(s) are you using on your desktop machines?

Closing this issue as there was no response, Cockpit 239 and Debian 10 are really old by now. Debian 11 is now stable, please comment if this issue occurs on Debian.
