[Usability] Make it possible to Undo
What parts of Meshlab would need to be changed to support an undo history for non-destructive editing?
Undo is an extremely important feature to add
I am aware of that. It just requires a huge reorganization of the core of meshlab. We are working on this, but it will require time.
any update? this is basically a deal breaker for almost everyone
As I said, I am aware of this. Unfortunately, the whole core of meshlab and vcg has not been written thinking about this scenario. Since our resources are limited, making this feature available will require a lot of planning and development. At the moment, I can say that it won't be available anytime soon. Sorry.
you have done some great work indeed however I think that building a state buffer into the application or underlying framework would be such a huge win. feels like a crazy oversight in terms of general usability for a popular, professional application not to have a simple "undo" option anywhere
I appreciate the work you do keeping this project free and open source. However, I find Meshlab extremely frustrating to use without a tool as critical as the undo button. One accidental click means I have to restart from scratch. This pain is amplified since there is no form of auto-save either. I would love to see the development team prioritize this feature.
thanks to the meshlab team for all the work on this great piece of software.
any progress on the undo feature?
+1 on this
