Viewing area scaled down [ KDE Plasma X11 - 1440p Display - MeshLab 2022.02 Flatpak & AppImage ]
Software version and system version
MeshLab version
I installed MeshLab 2022.02 both from flatpak and from AppImage. Both have this problem.
System version
OS: KDE neon User - 5.25 x86_64 Kernel: 5.15.0-46-generic Desktop: KDE Plasma X11 with 2K (2560x1440) Display GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU GPU Driver Version: 515.65.01 CUDA Version: 11.7
Issue
N.B.: I tried opening MeshLab under KDE Plasma Wayland instead of X11. In Wayland this issue does not seem to be present, however performance is quite abysmal compared to X11 (I suppose it cannot make use of the NVIDIA GPU under Wayland).
Opening MeshLab will show the viewing area scaled down with a very wide white border on the top and right edge. Resizing the viewport does not make the borders disappear: they simply resize along with it.

Also, clicking and selecting on the viewing area shows that it is scaled down. I.e. the top right corner of the view port that I see does not correspond the actual position in the viewport. I need to go to the top right corner including the white border so that it selects the area that I wanted. It will make more sense with the video:

#902 and #1069, however the first one was closed because the original poster vanished, and the second one (which was using KDE as well) magically solved itself.
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Right now I am not able to test on KDE, could you please try for me the appimages generated in this branch? It is still a work in progress, but we are removing lot of old deprecated Qt classes, and maybe they were the cause of this issue.
Hello, and thank you. As you can see the issue still seems to persist. I wasn't able to figure out anymore how I can open my teddy project from the original post, but rotating the view still behaved the same, and you can see the viewing area is scaled down.
I should note, that I just went through (what seemed like) a failed upgrade of my KDE Neon distribution. So there is a possibility the issue is on my side now. I am still investigating if and how I can fix my installation. I put this here in the meantime, in case it is not related to my somewhat broken installation.
