Concern
The major maintaining company has stepped back from the project, and Keptn is currently in maintenance mode. Its most recent contributions have been limited to bug fixes and dependency updates.
Most maintainers are inactive, and there is no clear path forward. We have contacted potential companies and maintainers to take over the project, but these efforts have not been successful. As a result, the Keptn Governance Committee is considering archiving the project.

This repository was the main repository for the version 1 of keptn and has been deprecated. Currently, the "main" repository is https://github.com/keptn/lifecycle-toolkit.
@thschue Could you ensure the adopters and project community members are informed of the change in repos? I believe they are but we want to verify.
@mrbobbytables Could you facilitate the necessary changes to CNCF tools and processes to point to the new repo?

Today, a company reached out to me which is potentially interested to get involved in keptn and they are currently pointing out options for contributing to the project.
Would it be ok for you to put the vote on hold for 1-2 weeks to find out if this could be an option?

Thank you to the Keptn community! Community involvement has continued to decrease since this issue was raised, noting the contributions in the primary repo. This vote to Archive from the CNCF will now be re-started and, if the vote to Archive passes, the community can once again apply to Sandbox status within the CNCF if/when the project meets the requirements to be a project within the CNCF.
