[Project Tracking] Cloud Native Sustainability Week 2024

Hello all, after the success of the Cloud Native Sustainability Week 2023 (issue https://github.com/cncf/tag-env-sustainability/issues/95) we would like to continue the event on a yearly basis. Event information can be found on our website https://tag-env-sustainability.cncf.io/events/cloud-native-sustainability-week/.

We are looking for a lead organizer who will take over the main organization of the event. You will be supported by TAG ENV and the local Meetup organizers will take responsibility for organizing their personal event. However, as the main organizer, it is a lot of work to pull all the strings together. It is also possible to divide the responsibility between several people. If you are interested in leading the event, post a comment, you can also message @leonardpahlke via Slack if you are unsure.

I would like to propose myself as lead organiser, if not globally at least for the EMEA timezone. I suggest we start with:

• [ ] Analyse feedback from 2023
• [ ] Choosing a week around October
• [ ] Create the materials (website, docs, blogs)
• [ ] Start promoting and recruiting local chapters
• [ ] Offer structured support to local chapters
• [ ] Prepare surveys and collect feedback

If we start now we'll have enough time to make it an even bigger than last year! And be ready for KubeconNA 2024 where we can share our collective learnings

Great that you would like to step up as a lead for organizing the 2024 event @ams0 ! I would be happy to be part of this in the TAG tech lead capacity and help out with the planning where it's needed.

It would be good to have a few more folks joining in on taking the lead and helping out with planning - maybe we can have a meeting where we can talk about the details of organizing the event, share our experiences from organizing 2023 event and just help with aligning expectations for those who may be interested in contributing, maybe even leading the event organization? WDYT @leonardpahlke @ams0 ?

Regarding analysis of the 2023 survey results - I know that @xamebax has done an amazing job of aggregating the data and highlighting the overall feedback for the Cloud Native Sustainability Week 2023 wrap-up blog post. Could you maybe share the spreadsheet with the aggregation work that you've done so that organizers for the 2024 event can take a closer look @xamebax?☺️

Created two meetings on the 21st of February to accomodate different time zones. Also, the date is after the Lunar calendar vacation time for China to make sure that as many as possible can join.

I'd love to be a part of this in 2024, the local meetup in Barcelona was a great way to restart the Cloud Native groups and I would love to contribute more this time.

We created a new channel tag-env-cloud-native-sustainability-week to collaborate async. @Nancy-Chauhan we need to start a meeting series to start planning the event. @JulieChenadec mentioned interest supporting with the organization of the global event 🙌.
