I would reduce the size of the template and only include this part: Before You Begin: Please make sure you have read the Getting Started with Open Source article provided by CNCF. It covers essential information on how to begin your journey into open source contributions.
with a link to the article.
Rest is not really applicable to this repository IMO as we're not developing tech here in this repo.
I think this is more of an issue in the discussion boards and in the slack channel (and in my own email). If we do add this to our issue templates we'll catch a lot of folks opening issues for different reasons with this.
I can be convinced, but I'm not sure we need this.
