So far in my testing with VentureChat 2.8.2 and Spigot 1.9 (today's build) it works as it should.

Can I see what the console.log output looks like with PurpleIRC set to Debug mode? Startup log would be helpful too.

That is definitely strange. I know this used to work. I'll see if I can come up with a fix.
