No, you shouldn't have to clear out entries in the ETS table after each streaming request. Sounds like a bug - I will investigate.
I ran a few different requests but couldn't reproduce this behaviour. Can you give me some more help in diagnosing this? What exactly are the options you are invoking ibrowse...

Thanks for all the bug reports. I think option (2) suggested by @markan is the best way forward. I'll try and come up with an emergency patch.
I think to preserve backwards compatibility, I will add an option 'prefer_ipv6'. If this is not supplied, it will default to using ipv4.
