Phase 2 geometry deprecation (pre-D110)
We have recently finished moving the default Phase 2 geometry to D121 (#49437). We should take the opportunity to clean up old, unused geometry variations in the latest CMSSW release (16_X series). We expect another round of cleanup in mid-2026, when we update the default geometry to the version that will be used for the MC campaign.
I propose to keep geometries from D110 onward (the previous default) for now. This implies deprecating the following:
- Detectors: D95, D96, D98, D99, D100, D101, D102, D103, D104, D105, D106, D107, D108, D109
- Tracker: T31, T32, T33, T34
- remove from README: T15, T21, T24, T25, T26, T30 (already deprecated, no longer used/available)
- Calorimeter: C17, C21, C22, C23
- remove from README: C9, C10, C11, C13, C14, C15, C16
- C18 still used only in D110
- Muon system: M13
- remove from README: M4, M6, M7, M8, M9, M10, M11, M12
- MTD: I16
- remove from README: I10, I11, I12, I13, I14, I15
- Common:
- remove from README: O4, O5, O6, O7, O8
- Forward:
- remove from README: F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7
All DPGs, please comment:
- if you approve these changes
- if any of these geometries still need to be kept
- if there are any more geometries that could be deprecated

If we can converge in the next week or two, the deprecations can be carried out before the holiday break. If not, the deprecations will be performed in January.
