Can't encode Apple Intermediate Codec files

Open cmarrin opened this issue 14 years ago • 1 comments

AIC files are not supported by ffmpeg. The only way to encode them is to use movtoy4m to split out the video. This only works on a machine that has iMovie or Final Cut installed. That is probably fine since you probably have those if you're working with AIC files. But I need to check for errors and report if they are missing.

Test file is in svn at:

svn+ssh://marrin.com/home/cmarrin/svn/videoassets/AIC_sample.mov

FWIW, movtoy4m is one of the Resources in VisualHub. Is there a problem including it in Video Monkey ?
