VM 0.17 hangs when adding .m4v files.

MacOS 10.11.6 (El Capitan) VideoMonkey 0.17

Will not load .m4v files anymore. Just hangs with spinning circle. I've tried single files instead of 10 files at once. Also using the "add" button instead of dragging and dropping.

It was working recently, not sure if was a change in system config. Still doesn't work after system reboot.
