The addon for [Tomb Raider (2013) - Definitive Edition] doesn't work as expected

I've been trying to use the addon for Tomb Raider (2013) - Definitive Edition (downloaded here) and it works fine ingame but the main menu has issues. There is only a almost white screen in main menu and you can't see the texts or the background video. It seems to work fine however when in game. I don't know what to tweak to fix it. I have tried changing exclusive fullscreen and also with borderless window, but it happens the same.

Do you have a picture of what it looks like? Also did you disable any of the graphics options. It's only been tested with everything at Ultra. You can use the RenoDX options to disable things.

I'll try to capture a screenshot, but it's all almost white on screen, like if it's overburned. I can barely see something but almost all is white color on screen with some minimal parts on magenta or something. I started the game blindly moving the selected option in the menu and then I entered in game. In game seems to works without issues the majority of the time, but sometimes the image is overburned and white

The weird thing is that sometimes it works and the main menu is being displayed with no issues. It happens randomly but almost all the time is broken. Display driver is the latest Radeon Adrenaline one

I don't think you've downloaded the correct addon here. You linked renodx-tombraider2013.addon32 which is for Tomb Raider (2013) which is 32-bit.

Tomb Raider (2013) Definitive Edition is 64-bit.

I think you want https://clshortfuse.github.io/renodx/renodx-tombraider2013de.addon64

Yes it is. I downloaded the right addon here but I've writed bad the name. The right name is the one you writed.

After some more experiments I discovered that this is due to the SpecialK toolset that it is loading my ReShade. To get this working the "compatibility mode" in SpecialK must be DISABLED and ReShade must be loaded EARLY to allow RenoDX to work as expected.

There are many issues when trying to combine multiple modding tools like these ones. So it requires a lot of trial and error and it's not an easy task. In fact, it's the opposite to that. There is no documentation and if there is, it's very difficult to locate it because the Internet search engines are working worse every day.

I'm sorry for the confussion that I've added here with a wrong addon name.

I'm now getting this error into the ReShade log:

Failed to load add-on from 'renodx-tombraider2013de.addon64' with error code 1114!

It seems that the addon is a 32bit version renamed to addon64 or something like that.

I'm assuming that the conflict was with SpecialK. Two different systems fighting over control of swapchain is always going to be a problem. Generally leaving Reshade installed as dxgi.dll in the path and not using SpecialK's special handling of Reshade works fine in my experience.
