Auto-scrolling in chat fails due to emoji reactions

Repro:

  1. Chat is scrolled to bottom, auto-scrolling properly.
  2. Someone reacts to the lowest message in the chat. Chat does not scroll to show the emoji.
  3. Auto-scrolling stops.
