Handwritten OCR

I'm starting to work on an handwritten OCR. I would like to know if someone manage to train an handwritten OCR (with recognition rate you were able to produce) and if you find some OpenData dataset for handwritten?

Which language are you interested? For Korean characters, aihub.or.kr would be a great place for you. I am not sure about English.
