can i get some tips for visualizing attention map?

Hi, According to paper, figure 5 has come from Encoder layers. If Encoder has 9 layers, figure describe 8th-9th layer out of Encoder. is it right?

But I'm confusing with how attention map is visualized with original image. can you give me some tips or reference?
