CloudWatch Dashboard Body - Replace not Working

I have a CloudWatch dashboard body that I need to perform multiple replaces on to get the dashboard to auto-deploy. The dashboard has multiple metrics and it doesn't seem like we have any class for the metrics.

I have a complete dashboard body (json), but it needs replacements going on with the resources created by the rest of the CloudFormation template.

Is this possible?
