is there a threshold?

Hi Thanks for open-sourcing this project

I'm currently using Butteraugli to check if a compressed image is not distorted too much to be noticed by humans. As you may know, a Butteraugli value below 1.1 is considered ok. Is there a threshold for ssimulacra? I want to use ssimulacra instead of Butteraugli because it has been reported that Butteraugli is only suitable for high-quality images

What is "OK" depends very much on the use case and circumstances. But in general: like Butteraugli, ssimulacra is a metric where 0 means lossless and higher values indicate more distortion. Values above 0.1 are very likely not OK. Where you put the threshold for "OK" depends on what kind of fidelity you have in mind, but generally speaking, I'd say a threshold somewhere between 0.01 and 0.02 probably makes sense.
