Http-Console fails assertion for writeable socket in GET

Node version: 0.3.2 Command Line: http-console localhost 8000 ( or http-console 127.0.0.1 )

http://localhost:8000> GET /

fails with an infinite loop on the following assertion error:

Error: assertion error
    at node.js:35:19
    at IOWatcher.onWritable [as callback] (net.js:164:5)

net.js:164:5 is an assertion:

 assert(socket.writable);
