concurrent tunnel client limit?

I have a websockets server that has over 5000 concurrent persistent clients via tunnel - to me it seems that there is some limit around 5000

Is there some limit? Documentation only mentions number of tunnels (1000 per account)

There needs to be documentation about the limits of Cloudflare Tunnel the service and cloudflared the application, and expected resource usage.
