A newer version of io.quarkus:quarkus-maven-plugin exists, but since this PR has been edited by someone other than Dependabot I haven't updated it. You'll get a PR for the updated version as normal once this PR is merged.

Since we want to keep supporting java 8 and Quarkus 1.X is the only one still supporting it, we need to stay on that version or perhaps work on a more sophisticated build, so I'm closing this for now
