macOS: letters go missing in complementary search engine ecosia or DuckDuckGo

Dear cliqz-devs,

I guess for this issue pictures say more than words:

I hope you can reproduce this. The search term was entered with a moderate to fast typing speed and Enter was pressed only once.

This is on macOS mojave 10.14.6 with latest Cliqz 1.32.1 - 72.0.2+1.42.0.74 with english language.
