is it possible to extract pattern.en stand alone ?

I found pattern requires a lot of dependent modules, I wonder is it possible to extract pattern.en and use it stand alone ? BTW, where is the directory the pattern.en source code resides in ? I've thought there should be one named en , but none.

This would be nice to have for sure. I have a project where I only use pattern.en but I'm forced to install all the (many) dependencies of pattern as a whole.
