Easy Noise sounds louder when 'mono audio' is enabled

When I enabled mono audio (Under Settings > Accessibility > Audio adjustments > Mono audio), Easy Noise gets louder. When I disable mono audio, Easy Noise gets quieter.

I'm surprised that this has an effect. I would expect that Easy Noise is already mono.

This isn't a big problem, but I thought I would mention it since it was unexpected. Perhaps 'mono audio' could be an option in Easy Noise?
