Zeroconf doesn't work

Hi there, I'm running 11.1 on LineageOS 14.1 (Android 7.1.2) with Clementine 1.2.3 on Linux Mint 18.1.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Have Clementine running on a laptop wirelessly connected to my LAN.
  2. Install and launch Remote on my phone wirelessly connected to the same LAN in the same subnet.

ACTUAL RESULT

  • I am prompted to enter an IP.

EXPECTED RESULT

  • It should Just Work(tm).

Updated to Clementine 1.3.1-333-gf854bc5 - this is still not working.

Yes I am also expecting a same behavior. Actually will be good if we have a KDE connect like interface here too.

  • Should be able to maintain more than one host and control one host at a time.
  • Host selection should be based on host name instead of IP address. (my local IP will change randomly, like Home, Room, Office etc..). All these places KDE connect works perfectly without any manual IP entry even with mobile hotspot.

A minor improvement would be to at least accept hostname instead of ip address for connection.
