Description: This extension integrates Ubuntu AppIndicators and KStatusNotifierItems (KDE's blessed successor of the systray) into GNOME Shell. Including support for legacy tray icons.

This is an add-on extension, isn't it? Do you want it built in into CL as a system extension?

as a general thing we've grown a bit weary about gnome shell plugins -- in that in the past we shipped a few and the result was that things broke every gnome update

maybe the plugin situation in gnome is better now but...

maybe the plugin situation in gnome is better now but...

So far they've been working fine for me. At any rate, should you feel like turning more of these extensions into CL bundles/packages, feel free to consider the above screenshot as a request for five more packages to add to CL:

maybe not by default? I build it from source everytime so when I had to force repair CL i had to install this again, I had the install instructions laying around so I decided to post here

for reference, this plugin did break in the shift from 47 -> 48, but a PR did come out to fix it so I used that patch till v60 came out
