Gnome terminal has messed up spacing after updating to 43160

Open Zopolis4 opened this issue 8 months ago • 4 comments

After updating to version 43160, my terminal now looks like this: Image

I have tried resetting the configuration (although I was already using the default configuration, only modified to enable infinite scrollback), and it has not changed anything.

As an example of what it used to look like:

(just the screenshots of my terminal i had lying around)

not sure how relevant this maybe, but using terminal inside codium is not broken

doesn't codium use the same terminal from the system? I feel it maybe a config file issue

Hello

Gnome in 43160 seems to be something wrong. Certain solution at this moment is to change custom font in Terminal preferences as attached.

Confirmed here too with Clear Linux 43210. With default set to Monospace, it shows the problem as described above. Bizarrely, actually setting the terminal to the same custom font Monospace resolves the issue for me.
$ fc-match Monospace NotoSansMono-Regular.ttf : "Noto Sans Mono" "Regular"

This is fixed for me in 43270.
