ncurses: non-English typing support is broken
one needs to link to ncursesw for non-pure-ascii support
what component in the OS is getting this wrong?

Vifm and guess most of ncurces deps.
The fix is probably here: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/ncurses/blob/rawhide/f/ncurses-libs.patch
