libvirt-dbus v1.4.0
Official package name: libvirt-dbus
License (must be an OSI approved Open Source license): LGPL V2.1
Download URL of latest release: git clone https://gitlab.com/libvirt/libvirt-dbus.git; git checkout v1.4.0
Latest release date (must be recent): 2020-05-01 (v1.4.0)
Description: libvirt-dbus wraps libvirt API to provide a high-level object-oriented API better suited for dbus-based applications.
This package is required for the cockpit machines module which is currently broken on Clear Linux.
Early versions of cockpit used virsh to interact with libvirt but recent versions of cockpit (since 216) require libvirt-dbus. Support for virsh was dropped from cockpit earlier this year in this commit: https://github.com/cockpit-project/cockpit/commit/6b2e005952a201d827946933608ceafdcdc573d9
Second this, virtual machines modules gives "No VM is running or defined on this host", even tho I have 2 vm's running all the times.
Any update?
Added to the next release.
When's the ETA of the next release?
I've almost got it to manually compile - except I can't seem to figure out how to get libvirt-glib-1.0 installed:
Manually compiled libvirt-glib-1.0 myself, then compiled libvirt-dbus
we have about 3 releases per week .. so at most a few (work) days

So we're some updates further but I don't see it yet - is there anywhere where I can check if its included? @fenrus75
Ah looks like it wasn't pulled in by cockpit in the current release.
Any way to manually install it through the bundle?
Any updates?
This is supposed to be added. Do you see the same error or a new one?
