Kontact bundle incomplete and not working for me

Open jbhanks opened this issue 5 years ago • 4 comments

I am trying to get KDEs PIM tools installed and working. I installed the Kontact flatpack. However, I am missing applications that are supposed to be included, such as Korganizer and kjots. Also, when I attempt to launch Kmail, it quits with the message:

The Email program encountered a fatal error and will terminate now.
    The error was:
Unable to obtain agent type ''.

From the googling I have done, I understand that I should be able to get some useful info from Akonadi Console, but nothing seems to be there (although the daemon is running). Are there special steps that are needed to configure the various tools that are part of Kontact?

did you use the bundle (our software) or a flatpack (appstore)?

The flatpack. Are these tools available in bundles? I thought I had installed everything KDE-related.

huh we were supposed to have it but somehow we don't

lets see if that oversight is fixable ;)
