RTL places the text at the far end of the margin

On the Minima theme, I make my text go from right-to-left by using HTML:

<div dir="rtl"> </div>

With this theme, however, the RTL text is placed at the far end of the "notes marginal" instead of right side of the usual text area.

Any way to circumvent / fix this?
