Musikcube Themes Thread
I couldn't find any other themes for musikcube, so I thought I would kickstart one here.
You can use this tool to create your own themes
80's Baby

80's_Baby.json.zip (To get this theme to work you must disable "degrade to 256 color palette")
@Porco-Rosso nice theme :) I will update my theme creator soon, feel free to do suggestions and bug report 😉
@Porco-Rosso Where/How do you install themes? I can't seem to find the information in the wiki
Hi @gregf , I found the folder for the themes at: /usr/local/Cellar/musikcube/0.26.0/share/musikcube/themes
Note:
- I installed musikcube through the homebrew package manager.
- Your version number might differ (0.26.0)
- every time I updated I had to move the theme to the newer version folder
Ugh, having the themes reset after each install is super annoying. Thanks for pointing this out. The next release will allow you to put themes in your ~/.musikcube/themes
directory so they don't get blown away after every reinstall.

@Porco-Rosso Thank you for the beautiful theme! Have you made any tweaks to it since you shared it in the first post? Have you made any other themes since?
Hi @sabrehagen , No I haven't made any changes. I'm thinking about making a new theme though. I'll be sure to share it if I do.
Has the themes folder reverted to being in the homebrew folder? .musikcube/themes does not seem to work anymore
I moved the config directory to be more XDG compliant some time ago -- it should have automatically migrated themes, but if it did not, the new path is ~/.config/musikcube/themes
.
it looks like adding new themes don't work anymore even when loading a new theme it reverts to the default theme and doesn't take any changes . edit: i forgot to disable degrade to 256 color palette, it's good now
@M1ndo just took a look at this -- make sure you disable the option to "degrade to 256 colors" in the settings. These themes mostly specify RGB colors without their palette counterparts, which will cause them to use default colors.
Some themes based on Nord color scheme
~~Probably gonna make a few small tweaks and add all the other versions of the color scheme in the coming days.~~ ^ nvm, did all that just now
Wanted to make my custom config cause I could not find much online, thought i would might as well add it here ;).
