When nesting inside react-sortablejs controls do not work properly

Open IamNotHuman opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

📝 Provide detailed reproduction steps (if any)

  1. nest ckeditor component inside the react sortable component
  2. add bold control
  3. Write three words
  4. select second word
  5. select bold controler

✔️ Expected result

Second word should convert to bold

❌ Actual result

The pointer returns to the beginning of the ckeditor input and second word does not convert to bold

❓ Possible solution

If you have ideas, you can list them here. Otherwise, you can delete this section.

📃 Other details

  • Browser: chrome "react-sortablejs": "6.1.1" "@ckeditor/ckeditor5-react": "^1.1.3"

My wild guess is that react-sortablejs gets in a way of some of our selection listeners.

You can try to add CKEditor 5 inspector to your page and check where's the selection in the model during executing these steps.

Also, it'd greatly help us if you could create a simple React project/demo with that library used. That'd save us some time setting this up.
