Issue Composing Japanese when running Azure Virtual Desktop

📝 Provide detailed reproduction steps (if any)

  1. Start an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) session using Windows OS
  2. Using Microsoft edge, navigate to https://ckeditor.com/ckeditor-5/demo/feature-rich/
  3. Set your keyboard language to Microsoft Japanese IME
  4. Starting typing to begin composing a character
  5. Select a character from the composition menu by pressing enter

✔️ Expected result

The selected character replaces any input involved in the composition

❌ Actual result

The selected character is not inserted and the input involved in the composition is removed.

  • Browser: Edge (maybe others)
  • OS: Windows OS running on AVD
  • First affected CKEditor version: Unknown but reproducible in v36.0.1

~Probably related to https://github.com/ckeditor/ckeditor5/issues/11569.~

More likely it's related to the MS IME, maybe related to https://github.com/ckeditor/ckeditor5/issues/12844?
