Do you have any time to help with this? I really want this feature but at least for my sites I need to customize the solr schema and before_index calls and I haven't figured out how to generalize that yet.

Perhaps we can start the collaboration if you share the recipe for how to do it manually? We have one site in particular that we need to have an MVP implementation by next week and would love to triage that first.
