Option to link to a channel
Want to link to a channel without having the users type a server name manually.
This seems like it could be down with custom implementation by just making the server input field hidden instead of text. Would that achieve what you want?

ledbettj, yes -- with some documentation for the URL if you like, adding interface for the link could be clumsy :-)
by the way I meant to say that when such URL is used, the 'nick' field and connect button should be more prominently visible with other fields possibly hidden or otherwise less getting in the way (non tech savvy people would ask "oh, why so many fields and what do I do?") -- I am considering deploying the chat for an audience which doesn't know what irc or a server name is
